HTC One VX to be available on AT&T by December 7th

The HTC One VX was originally poised to arrive on AT&T alongside the HTC One X+ on November 16th. The problem is that only one of the devices made that scheduled launch date. And while the HTC One X+ is currently available both in carrier stores and online, the HTC One VX is nowhere to be found.

According to an AT&T spokesperson however, that’s set to change in just a few short weeks, confirming that the carrier  ”expects to be fully stocked in all channels by Dec. 7.” So, if you’re currently on the holdout for HTC’s budget handset, you shouldn’t have too much longer to wait.

AT&T HTC One X gets root method for latest OTA update

The latest OTA update for AT&T’s HTC One X broke the current methods for rooting the device, but of course it never takes the folks over at XDA too long to find another work around when it comes to rooting. This method will use two different exploits to modify your CID and allow you to unlock your bootloader and root the device.

Pre-order your HTC One X+ now from Expansys

From the first sketches, to the leaked brochures, it looks like the international unlocked HTC One X+ is ready to pre-order online for the US. Thanks to online electronics retailer, Expansys USA, people who have been waiting and craving for the release of the One X+ will finally be able to put some money down.

Since Expansys just recently put the device on their website, it doesn’t look like there is a set price just yet, showing the “Price Not Announced” tag description. By pre-ordering, it means you will be first in line when they do announce the price. As a reminder, the specs are as follows:

• 1.7 GHz quad-core NVIDIA Tegra 3 Processor
• 1GB of RAM memory
• 64GB of internal storage
• NFC Support
• 4.7 inch super LCD 2 touch screen with a 720p resolution

This phone is a monster, but there are a few things like storage capacity and LTE that may change on the US version If you want to beat the crowd, the International model will do just fine. HTC One X+ to hit Clove in the UK on October 22 for £395

HTC made the One X+ official yesterday and promised an October release in Europe. Clove just announced that they will offer the new HTC flagship starting October 22 for £395 or £474 with VAT. To give you an idea in U.S. dollars, that comes to $630 without VAT. Certainly not cheap, but still cheaper than the Galaxy Note II and the Galaxy S III. HTC proudly shows off early design sketches of their One X+

HTC is widely regarded as one of the best handset makers when it comes to designing their devices, and HTC knows that. Today HTC has shown off several early sketches of their brand new HTC One X+ handset. It’s a device the company should definitely be proud of, it was designed well and current users of the One X love the way HTC designed it. Take a look at the sketches and tell us what you think!

AT&T announces the HTC One X+ and One VX as coming soon

 

Earlier HTC announced the One X+ as their newest flagship phone, but said that a separate announcement would take place for the U.S. Well AT&T didn’t take long to announce their intent to carry the quad-core beast as well as another phone called the One VX.

The One X+ (pictured above) will be the first quad-core phone in the U.S. with LTE capability thanks to the latest 1.7GHz Tegra 3 chipset. The rest of the specs are the same which include a 4.7-inch 720p Super LCD 2 display, 1GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, 8MP rear camera with ImageSense, 1.6MP front camera, 2100mAh battery, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, and Sense 4+. They didn’t announce pricing or when it will launch, but hopefully by the end of the month.

AT&T took this opportunity to introduce another HTC phone, the more economical One VX (pictured below). This one will sport a 4.5-inch qHD (960 x 540) LCD 2 display, a 1.2GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of storage, 5MP rear camera with ImageSense, VGA (640 x 480) front facing camera, NFC, Bluetooth 4.0, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, and Sense 4.0. It will be 9.19mm thick and weigh 124.7 grams.

Again, no word on pricing or availability so stay tuned.

HTC makes the One X+ official, to debut this month in Europe and North Asia

HTC finally took the wraps off of the One X+, and as expected, it’s going to have more speed, more storage, and more battery life. There’s nothing shocking about the specs only because most of the rumors came true. It will sport a 4.7-inch 720p Super LCD 2 display, a 1.7GHz quad-core Tegra 3 AP37 processor, 1GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, 8MP rear camera with ImageSense, 1.6MP front camera, a 2100mAh battery, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, and Sense 4+. Originally the rumors showed an 1800mAh battery, but we heard it would actually be larger so that’s a good thing. As far as RAM, nobody was ever sure, but we were hoping for 2GB. I guess HTC feels that 1GB will be enough to handle Sense 4+ on top of stock Jelly Bean.

The One X+ will launch in Europe and North Asia in early October and South Asia in November. We fully expect it to arrive in North America as well, but nothing was mentioned other than a separate announcement will take place. No pricing was specified, so we will have to wait till the carriers post something.

Possible quad-core powered HTC One XC revealed in China

HTC took the wraps off a new version of their HTC One X at the Chinese Telecommunications Fair. Going by the name HTC One XC, the phone will have a 4.7-inch 1280×720 pixel screen and 1GB of RAM. Images of the case suggest it will come in black with gold trim elements. Several sources are reporting this device will be powered by a quad-core Snapdragon S4 chip. It is unclear how accurate this may be as HTC’s page for the device on their Chinese site indicates the One XC has a dual-core processor. The bad news for most readers is that the device may never make it outside of the Chinese market. Hit the break for some additional images.

HTC Enticing Apple iPhone Owners To Trade Their Phones In For A One X With Free urBeats Headset

 If you find that you’re sick of the Apple iPhone and are interested in grabbing yourself an Android phone instead, HTC has the incentive to entice customers to come on over to the wild side. The manufacturer has presented a solid promotion where customers can trade in their iPhone (in fully functional and good condition, of course) and buy a One X instead, with a side of $99 urBeats headsets thrown in for free. Naturally customers may not expect to get top dollar for the iPhone compared to online listings like Craigslist or eBay, but you gotta admit— the idea of having the awesome One X with a sweet headset may be too good  of a deal to pass up.
