I know this comes as welcome news this morning for AT&T owners of the Samsung Galaxy S III after reading about the T-Mobile version receiving Jelly Bean in mid-November. It looks multiple users have reported today that you can grab the  Jelly Bean update for the AT&T Galaxy S III via Kies Desktop Software. Give it a shot and let us know if you’re able to grab the update.

SwiftKey keyboard disappearing for Android 4.2 users, a fix is in the works

Users of the ever-popular keyboard app, SwiftKey, are reporting problems after updating their devices to Android 4.2.  For many users, the keyboard disappeared entirely from devices after installing the Android 4.2 update. In some cases, the keyboard is simply soft-disabled, but others found the software to be uninstalled completely from their device.
SwiftKey is aware of the problem and is working closely with the Android team to get it solved. For now, the quick fix is to simply re-download the app and go through the installation process again. Unfortunately, this will not restore the lost user data or all the predictive word sequences that you worked so hard to build up. Hopefully SwiftKey will have this resolved soon. To read Swiftkey’s response for yourself, hit the source link below.

Ice Cream Sandwich Rolling out to Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 3G

Most of us by now are a little spoiled having enjoyed at least Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich for a while now. However, there are still numerous owners with devices that still haven’t been officially upgraded to the newer Android OS. You can now put a check beside the 3G version of Samsung’sGalaxy Tab 8.9 (GT-P7300) as being officially on the list of devices with Android 4.0. Updates are beginning to roll out via OTA and reportedly are available through Samsung Kies. The update should definitely make your tablet run more efficiently, quicker, and also boost battery life.

Verizon Galaxy S III gets small update, no it’s not Jelly Bean

It looks as if owners of the Verizon Galaxy S III are beginning to see a 62MB-sized update pushed to their devices at this time. We aren’t sure if this is Verizon’s version of the AT&T update that was pushed out about a month ago since it comes in at 20GB less than the 82MB AT&T update. But we do know that it’s not Jelly Bean per Verizon’s release notes, as you’ll still be on 4.0.4 after the update. The update is also said to bring a fix to random reboots as well as better stability in the Play Store. Hopefully this is just the next step in getting that highly anticipated, Jelly Bean update. Be on the lookout for the update notification, or you can always go to About Phone to manually try to grab the update. If you do download it, let us know how noticeable the changes are.
