It’s pretty clear that Amazon has every intention of staying competitive in the mobile space for the foreseeable future. Between new devices, applications, and cloud services, Amazon is fighting their way to the top of the OEM pile, and doing a pretty good job of it. To add more to their app/cloud repertoire, Amazon has released a Cloud Drive Photos app to access any photos you may have on Amazon Cloud drive.
The interface in the app is similar to Amazon’s MP3 player, which is a good thing. It’s got a very clean, elegant look, and navigation is easy and painless. Also like Amazon MP3, you can download and locally store any photos on your device, and you can toggle between viewing cloud photos or only photos stored locally. Overall, it’s a great addition to Amazon’s lineup.
Personally, I’ll be uploading some pictures to Amazon’s cloud drive to play with the app later today. Does anyone else think it might be good enough to replace your other gallery apps?
