Opera Mobile update includes SPDY, added HTML5 support and improved security

 A new version of the mobile web browser Opera has been released in the Play Store. Opera 12.1 isn’t a major overhaul of the app, it’s just an improvement over what was already a solid app. One big improvement is the increased security when browsing web pages. Now you will get a notification if you are visiting a website that has been “marked as being suspicious or used of illicit activity” the same way it does on a desktop web browser. This update also brings SPDY which improves the ability to fetch web pages so it may not jump out at you but you should be able to notice the difference. The latest Opera update also highlights HTML5 being the future of the web, or at least that’s what they told us during the Adobe Flash debacle, and Opera has added support including HTML5 drag and drop and clipboard APIs. Again this is not an overhaul but definitely brings nice improvements to the mobile browser
